USRSB Board of Directors Call for Nominations

The U.S. Roundtable for Sustainable Beef (USRSB) is pleased to announce the official CALL FOR NOMINATIONS for the 2022/2023 USRSB Board of Directors. As outlined in our By-laws, the USRSB is governed by a Board of Directors, made up of four representatives from each member constituency group (Producer Associations, Allied Industry, Packer/Processor, Retail/Food Service, and Civil Society), for a total of twenty Directors, half being “Alternate Directors” appointed by their “Primary Director.” Each constituency group elects two Primary Directors to the Board of Directors. Primary Directors then appoint one Alternate Director. As the initial Board of Director terms were staggered to ensure continuity for subsequent years, only one seat from each constituency will be set for election upon term expiration, except in the case of a Director being selected to serve as the Chair-Elect at the end of the first year of his/her two-year term, in which case there will be an automatic extension of the term by one year.*

The Chair, Chair-Elect and Secretary/Treasurer are then appointed to the Board and the Past-Chair will serve on the Board of Directors in an ex-officio capacity.

At the 2022 USRSB General Assembly Meeting, one primary Board Member from each constituency will be up for election/re-election to the Board of Directors. Therefore, nominations are now being accepted from each member constituency group to serve on the Board of Directors. If you would like to nominate yourself or another member organization to the Board of Directors, please click here to complete the nomination form and return it to the USRSB Administrator on or before 5:00 pm MST on February 10, 2022.
