How to apply

Apply to become a member by either submitting your application through our online portal or downloading the membership application and returning the application to [email protected].

Upon receipt, applications will be reviewed by the Membership Committee in accordance with the principles and guidelines for membership acceptance. Applications that meet the necessary requirements will then be sent to the Board of Directors for further evaluation and consideration along with any accompanying recommendations made by the Membership Committee. The Board of Directors will vote to accept or reject an applicant organization based upon the organization’s commitment to sustainable beef and validity of stakeholder interest. Subsequently, prospective members will receive notification from the USRSB Administrator regarding the determination of their application. Accepted members will receive a USRSB Membership Letter of Agreement confirming their commitment as well as a dues invoice to process their membership.

Member Responsibilities

Members are required to adhere to U.S. anti-trust laws and must support and publicly advocate for all elements of the mission and vision of the U.S. Roundtable for Sustainable Beef. Members must demonstrate their desire and ability to engage in constructive dialogue in furtherance of USRSB’s mission and vision. Members are responsible for ensuring that their commitment to the objectives of the USRSB are substantiated by adequate financial and personnel resources within their organization, noting that the USRSB supports engagement from differing perspectives where constructive conflict is welcomed as long as it is in furtherance of the organization’s mission and vision. Specific membership responsibilities include:

  • Adherence to U.S. anti-trust laws
  • Support and publicly advocate for all elements of the mission, vision and work of USRSB
  • Support and contribute to the outcomes of USRSB working groups
  • Provide leadership from your area in the beef value chain
  • Be a member of one of the five identified beef value chain constituencies
  • Pay annual membership dues (Fiscal year: October 1 - September 30)
