The U.S. Roundtable for Sustainable Beef (USRSB) is a multi-stakeholder initiative developed to advance, support and communicate continuous improvement in sustainability of the U.S. beef value chain. The USRSB achieves this through leadership, innovation, multi-stakeholder engagement and collaboration.

As a transparent effort focused on shaping the future of sustainability for the U.S. beef value chain, the USRSB encourages and promotes continuous improvement through several actions, including: 

  • Defining U.S. beef sustainability and critical industry-wide indicators of sustainability through our U.S. Beef Industry Sustainability Framework
  • Recognizing programs in alignment with the U.S. Beef Industry Sustainability Framework
  • Partnering across the beef value chain to identify and support priority research areas 
  • Providing a forum for open discussion, information exchange and program development 
  • Developing resources and tools that support each step of the beef value chain to advance their sustainability efforts
  • Offering stakeholders an equal opportunity to contribute to and support industry sustainability efforts through membership participation

Leadership

USRSB leadership is made up of equal representation from 5 industry member constituencies. Each sector of the supply chain has equal input in organization decisions. Members also participate in working groups, committees and task forces to complete organizational efforts.

Each constituency receives equal representation on the Board of Directors, regardless of size. Our membership represents a robust and diverse group of U.S. beef industry stakeholders.
