The U.S. Roundtable for Sustainable Beef (USRSB) is a multi-stakeholder initiative developed to advance, support and communicate continuous improvement in sustainability of the U.S. beef value chain. The USRSB achieves this through leadership, innovation, multi-stakeholder engagement and collaboration.

What sets us apart

As a transparent effort focused on shaping the sustainability framework for the U.S. beef value chain, the USRSB will encourage and promote continuous improvement through several actions, including: 

  • Identifying sustainability indicators 
  • Recognizing verification methodologies 
  • Generating field project data to test sustainability concepts 
  • Providing a forum for open discussion, information exchange and program development 
  • Offering stakeholders an equal opportunity through membership participation


USRSB leadership is made up of equal representation from 5 industry member constituencies. Each sector of the supply chain has equal input in organization decisions. Members also participate in working groups, committees and task forces to complete organizational efforts.

who is involved?

The USRSB is made up of individuals and organizations from 5 sectors:  producers, allied industry, packers/processors, retail/foodservice and civil society. Each constituency receives equal representation on the Board of Directors, regardless of size. Our membership represents a robust and diverse beef industry.
